Awana blends Bible teaching, evangelism, Scripture memorization and tons of fun. At Horizon we believe that children are not only our future, they are our today. Through our Awana program children learn how to plug into God's grand plan for their lives and the role they play in their families, schools, and communities.

Providing a safe, happy, Christian learning environment for every child is the purpose of the Children's Ministry here at Horizon Baptist Church.
Our programs enable them to explore, discover, create and construct by involving their senses in an array of age-appropriate opportunities. Teaching from a Biblically-based curriculum, we strive to develop in each child positive attitudes toward God, Jesus, the Bible, self, others, the natural world, family and church.
There is no other comparable span of life in which a person learns so fast. During this intellectually fruitful time, we begin the process of introducing children to concepts related to God. Our goal is to establish a foundation for faith upon which all of life can be built. We count it a blessing to participate in a childs spiritual growth and development.

Children's Church at Horizon is where kids discover those special characteristics of God like Jesus hears us, Jesus loves us, God has a great plan for me, and many other reasons why God is worthy of our praise. Each week, preschool and elementary children focus on God in a personal way, and experience worship through fun songs and memorable Bible learning. Theo and Scruffy help lead kids through practical everyday issues giving them real life answeres to their many real life questions.
